How to enter free by post
On a postcard (or a sheet of paper in a sealed envelope), include the following (all details must match the details on your account):
- Your full name, address, contact telephone number and email;
- The exact competition you wish to enter (title and/or its web address);
- Your answer to that competition’s question (if it has one).

The rules
- One free entry per postal item — and you can enter as many times as you like by sending a separate postcard for each entry (just as a paid entrant can buy multiple tickets). Posting items separately is our only anti-bulk rule; it never limits how many times you can enter.
- Every postal entry goes into the same draw, with the same chance of winning, as a paid ticket — its own ticket number, no difference at the draw.
- Your answer to the competition question must be correct for the entry to be valid (same as online).
- Entries must arrive before the competition’s closing time. We’re not responsible for postal delays or items lost in transit.
- Hand-delivered entries are not accepted — entries must be sent by first or second class post.
- Proof of posting is not proof of entry — it does not guarantee that your entry will be received or entered into the draw.
- We will not acknowledge receipt of your entry, and we will not confirm whether your answer to the competition question is correct.
- If the number of entries received reaches the competition’s cap before your postal entry arrives, you will not be entered into the draw.
- Incomplete, illegible or bulk/duplicate entries will be disqualified (Terms 3.11).
- We’ll allocate your ticket number(s) and add you to the same draw as paid entrants.

Does a free postal entry have the same chance of winning as a paid entry?
